Kevin Keesee of Cleburne will have an easy time remembering his wife’s, mother-in-law’s and now daughter’s birthday. That’s because they’re all the same — March 29.
Kevin’s wife, Dawn, gave birth to her second child Sunday, a daughter named Peyton Dawn. The name Dawn has been carried down throughout the family since Dawn’s great-grandfather, Don. The couple has an older son, Rhett, who is 4 1/2.
Dawn said she never thought she would have a child on her birthday, especially since it was already an oddity that she was born on her mother’s birthday.
“When I found out I was pregnant it said my due date was April Fools,” Dawn said. “When my mom was pregnant with me it said her due date was April Fools, too.
“I was born on a Sunday as well.”
Dawn was born on her mother’s 20th birthday and had Peyton on her 27th birthday.
Her mother, Julie Wheeler of Glen Rose, said Dawn’s birth was even more special to her because she was adopted.
“Dawn was my first blood relative that I knew,” Wheeler said, “so she was always special. Besides three girls born on the same day is unique in itself.”
One of the nurses, Diane Kuntz, who helped deliver Dawn also helped deliver Rhett and Peyton. Dawn was born naturally but Peyton was induced.
“We were lucky that Dr. Farzam was agreeable to do it on a Sunday,” Dawn said. “I think it helped that I work [at the hospital.]”
Dawn has been the department supervisor of the second floor at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne for seven years. Kevin is a key accounts representative at United Cooperative Services.
Another unusual pairing of dates in the Keesee family is the anniversary of marriages.
“Dawn and Kevin got married on our anniversary without even meaning to,” Wheeler said. “They called and said ‘We set our date.’ and I said ‘That is mine and Ray’s anniversary.’”
Peyton’s other set of grandparents is Guy and Donna Downing.
