The Brazos Chamber Orchestra will present two concerts, one tonight at First United Methodist Church of Burleson, located at 590 NE McAlister Road, and one Thursday at First Baptist Church in Cleburne, located at 105 E. Willingham.
Both concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and there will be no charge for admission.
The Brazos Chamber Orchestra begins its 2009-10 season with this fall concert series with music from popular as well as classical music, such as “Con te Partiro,” “Brother James Air,” “Country Gardens,” “Schubert Symphony No. 7 in C Major” “The Theme from the Pink Panther,” “Take the A Train,” and music from the movie “Chronicles of Narnia.”
Maestro David Anavitarte created the BCO in order to bring enjoyable live orchestra music to the citizens of Johnson County and the surrounding areas.
The orchestra is made up of about 40 professional and semiprofessional musicians from throughout the Metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Granbury and the Johnson County area.
The orchestra’s season will continue with a winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4, and a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. April 29 First Baptist Church in Cleburne.
