JCSO detectives capture Colorado fugitive
Johnson County Sheriff’s Office detectives, acting on an anonymous tip, recently arrested a man wanted out of Colorado on charges of theft, fraud and forgery, JCSO Sheriff Bob Alford said.
JCSO deputies learned that Petrolino Leroy Vargas, 37, was wanted out of the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office of Colorado and was listed as one of their top 10 most wanted.
Vargas has been working at a horse training facility on Farm-to-Market Road 731 in Burleson. Deputies responded to that location and arrested Vargas without incident, Alford said.
He is being held at the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center without bond and faces extradition to Colorado, Alford said.
