A wreck involving a tractor trailer and a Chrysler Sebring on Monday resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Burleson woman, according to Texas Department of Public Safety records. A medical examiner pronounced Megan Porter dead at the scene. The accident occurred about 5:20 p.m. on Farm-to-Market Road 1434.
The truck, driven by Juan C. Castaneda of Cleburne, was traveling southbound on FM 1434, according to reports, while Porter was traveling northbound on the same road.
Porter entered a left curve in the roadway at an unsafe speed and skidded left into the southbound lane, striking Castaneda’s truck head on, according to reports.
Castaneda’s truck came to rest in the west borrow ditch, Porter’s car in the middle of the road.
No charges are pending against Castaneda at this time, according to reports.
