The Smith eighth-grade Lady Jacket basketball team wrapped up the district title last week, but still needed a win against Everman Thursday night to complete a perfect season in district play.
They provided that and a lot more.
Jade Rochelle made two free throws with less than a minute left to put the Jackets ahead to stay in route to a 43-35 victory.
The Lady Jackets are back-to-back district champions and champions of the Mineral Wells tournament, and finished the season with a school record win loss total of 15-2.
