Arthur L. “Bud” Sellers and Geneva Teague celebrate 66 years of marriage on Dec. 6.
The couple were married Dec. 6, 1945, in San Angelo, Texas. They lived in Cleburne 35 years before moving to Fort Worth and more recently moving to Abilene to be near their children.
Sellers served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He resumed his career in Fort Worth with the U.S. Postal Service and retired as Arlington Postmaster after 38 years.
Mrs. Sellers retired after 19 years of banking.
During retirement, the Sellers raised quarter horses and cattle on several ranches in Central Texas.
The couple have two sons, Ron and Greg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

William P. and Ida Ruth Hallman will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22, 2011. Billy and Ida Ruth are native Johnson County citizens. Billy grew up in Grandview while Ida Ruth is a native of Cleburne.

Glendon and Patricia Anderson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22, 2011, with a cruise to Alaska and Canada. Glendon and Patricia were honored with a family celebration dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Fort Worth by their children after they returned from their cruise.
