Jack and Elizabeth Riza of Cleburne, Texas, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1, 2011.
Sept. 1, 1956, was a special day for Jack Riza and Elizabeth Sue Johnson, as they were joined together in marriage in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Each were born and raised in Cleburne and have lived all but five years there. They have three girls and three boys, Nancy Brister of McComb, Miss., Teresa Gail Thetford of Cleburne, Jack Riza Jr. of Cleburne, David Paul Riza of Burleson, Steven Troy Riza of Keene and Angela Kay Riley of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandsons and four granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
Jack loves playing dominoes with the boys and watching sports and “Gunsmoke” on TV and messing with his computer.
Sue loves going to her church, Cleburne Baptist Temple, where she sings specials and does the church books.
Both have health problems but are striving to add another 20 years to their now 55 years. Praise God for his wonderful glory.

William P. and Ida Ruth Hallman will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22, 2011. Billy and Ida Ruth are native Johnson County citizens. Billy grew up in Grandview while Ida Ruth is a native of Cleburne.

Glendon and Patricia Anderson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22, 2011, with a cruise to Alaska and Canada. Glendon and Patricia were honored with a family celebration dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Fort Worth by their children after they returned from their cruise.
