Berger named TCEA Technology Administrator of the Year

Special to the Times-Review

Since Kyle Berger’s arrival at Alvarado ISD, the district’s technology department has blossomed into one of the top technology departments in the state.

On Feb. 10, the Texas Computer Education Association announced Berger has been named the Technology Administrator of the Year.

While the award went to Berger, it is an award he wants the entire technology department to share.

“It is a great honor for AISD to receive this award,” Berger said. “I am very proud of all the work put in by my department over the year and for the great support of the administration and school board in AISD.”

Berger will receive his award Wednesday in front of over 8,000 colleagues at the opening session of the 2009 TCEA state conference.

TCEA, founded in 1980, is dedicated to the improvement of teaching and learning through the use of computers and technology.

The Technology Administrator of the Year award is presented to a technology administrator who exhibits exemplary vision and management of technology at the district level.
